Role Description The Quality Engineer – Vendor Development (Pre Engineering Building) role is a full-time, on-site position based in Dhar. This role is responsible for developing, evaluating, and managing vendors for pre-engineered building components to ensure they meet company quality standards and project requirements. Day-to-day activities include establishing and monitoring quality criteria, conducting vendor audits and inspections, reviewing technical specifications, and collaborating with design and production teams to maintain product quality. The Quality Engineer will analyze data from vendor performance, implement corrective and preventive actions, and support continuous improvement initiatives in the supply base. The role also involves close coordination with procurement, project management, and site teams to ensure timely delivery, compliance with safety and sustainability standards, and alignment with customer expectations.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Quality Engineering and Quality Management, with experience in industrial or infrastructure projects.
- Candidates should possess skills in Quality Control and Quality Assurance, including inspection methods, testing procedures, and documentation practices.
- Candidates should possess skills related to Product Quality, such as defining quality benchmarks, analyzing nonconformities, and driving continuous improvement.
- Experience in vendor development, supplier evaluation, and vendor audits in pre-engineered buildings or steel fabrication is highly beneficial.
- Relevant technical degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.
- Knowledge of applicable quality standards and safety regulations, and familiarity with ISO or similar quality systems is advantageous.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities, with capacity to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams on-site.
