Material Inspection & Testing
- Raw Materials: Verify the quality of construction materials such as cement, steel/rebar, coarse and fine aggregates, and soil.
- Third-Party Lab Tests: Monitor and coordinate third-party laboratory tests for soil bearing capacity, concrete cube compressive strength, and compaction density.
- Batching Plants: Oversee on-site concrete batching plants to ensure proper mix designs and slump tests are maintained.
Structural & Foundation Oversight
- Earthwork: Inspect excavation, trenching, and backfilling activities for proper depth and compaction.
- Formwork & Reinforcement: Check rebar sizes, spacing, and formwork alignments before concrete is poured.
- MMS Alignment: Ensure Module Mounting Structure foundations, including pile driving or pier foundations, meet exact structural load-bearing tolerances and alignment specifications.
- Equipment Foundations: Verify dimensions, leveling, and bolt placement for heavy equipment like inverters, transformers, and switchyards
Quality Assurance & Auditing (QA/QC)
- Methodology: Develop and implement project-specific Quality Management Plans (QMP) and Inspection and Test Plans (ITP).
- Inspections: Conduct routine on-site inspections of all civil works against approved "Good for Construction" (GFC) drawings and specifications.
- Audits: Facilitate internal audits and support external client or third-party quality audits
Documentation & Compliance
- Non-Conformance Reports (NCR): Identify construction discrepancies and issue NCRs to contractors, tracking them until proper corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) are completed.
- Record Keeping: Maintain meticulous quality records, including daily inspection reports, test certificates, checklists, and calibration logs for testing equipment.
- As-Built Drawings: Review and update civil construction markups to maintain accurate "as-built" drawings.
