Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Quality Engineer Civil role based in Chennai. The Quality Engineer Civil will be responsible for monitoring and ensuring quality standards at commercial construction sites, including office and retail projects. Daily activities include inspecting materials and workmanship, verifying compliance with design specifications and relevant codes, and conducting routine quality audits. The role involves preparing and maintaining quality documentation, test reports, and checklists, while coordinating with project managers, site engineers, contractors, and vendors to resolve quality issues. The Quality Engineer Civil will also support continuous improvement initiatives, implement corrective and preventive actions, and contribute to safe, sustainable, and timely project delivery.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess skills in Quality Engineering and Quality Management for civil and commercial real estate projects.
- Candidates should possess skills in Quality Control and Quality Assurance, including site inspections, testing, and documentation.
- Candidates should possess skills related to Product Quality, with a focus on construction materials, finishes, and structural integrity.
- Relevant civil engineering qualification (diploma or bachelor’s degree) from an accredited institution.
- Experience in commercial or large-scale building projects, preferably in office or retail developments.
- Knowledge of construction standards, codes, and safety regulations applicable to civil engineering projects.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical ability, and proficiency in using quality checklists and reporting tools.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional site and project teams.
