Role Description
- Prepare, review and implement Quality Plans, ITPs and quality procedures.
- Ensure compliance with applicable standards (ASTM, ASME, IS, ISO, project specs).
- Coordinate with engineering, production and client for quality requirements.
- Monitor supplier quality and review vendor documents (MTC, coating reports, etc.).
- Support internal and external audits.
- Perform incoming, in-process and final inspection of pipe supports and related components.
- Verify material traceability and certification.
- Inspect dimensional accuracy, welding, threading, galvanizing and coating.
- Review NDT reports and ensure compliance with WPS/PQR requirements.
- Raise NCRs for non-conformities and follow up for closure.
- Maintain quality records, inspection reports and data books.
- Prepare and review MDR (Manufacturing Data Record) / QAP dossiers.
- Ensure proper calibration status of measuring instruments.
- Coordinate with third-party inspectors and clients.
- Support root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions.
- Ensure implementation of ISO 9001 requirements.
Qualifications
- 1-3 years (preferred in pipe supports / fabrication / heavy engineering)
- B.E. / B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent - Mandatory
- Knowledge about ASME codes and standard
- Certification in welding inspection (CSWIP/AWS) – preferred.
- NDT Level II certification (UT/MT/PT/VT) – preferred
- Knowledge of industry codes, standards, and compliance requirements
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and critical-thinking abilities
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams
