Job DescriptionPosition Title: Quality Engineer (QA/QC)
Industry: High-Rise Construction / Real Estate / Infrastructure

Reporting To: QA/QC Manager / Project Manager
Job Summary
The Quality Engineer is responsible for implementing, monitoring, and maintaining quality assurance and quality control systems at high-rise construction projects. The role ensures that all construction activities comply with approved drawings, specifications, codes, standards, and company quality policies to achieve defect-free execution and successful project handover.
Key ResponsibilitiesQuality Planning & Implementation
· Implement project quality plans, QA/QC procedures, and inspection checklists.
· Ensure work execution complies with approved drawings, specifications, IS codes, and client requirements.
· Coordinate with site teams to embed quality practices in daily execution.
Inspections & Testing
· Conduct stage-wise inspections for RCC, masonry, waterproofing, finishing, and MEP interfaces.
· Coordinate and witness material testing (concrete, steel, blocks, tiles, waterproofing systems, etc.).
· Ensure calibration and compliance of testing equipment.
Documentation & Records
· Maintain QA/QC documentation including ITPs, checklists, MIRs, test reports, and NCRs.
· Ensure proper record-keeping of approvals, inspections, and corrective actions.
· Maintain quality registers and ensure traceability.
Non-Conformance & Corrective Actions
· Raise Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) for quality deviations.
· Coordinate with execution teams for root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions.
· Track closure of NCRs within defined timelines.
Vendor & Contractor Quality Control
· Monitor contractor workmanship and adherence to quality standards.
· Verify materials received at site against approved samples and specifications.
· Support pre-inspection and approvals for vendors and subcontractors.
Audits & Compliance
· Support internal, client, and third-party quality audits.
· Ensure compliance with ISO / QMS requirements, if applicable.
· Assist in preparation for project quality reviews and handover audits.
Training & Awareness
· Conduct quality tool-box talks and awareness sessions for site teams.
· Promote best practices and lessons learned across the project.
Key Skills & Competencies
· Strong knowledge of QA/QC processes in high-rise construction.
· Proficiency in reading GFC, structural, architectural, and coordination drawings.
· Knowledge of IS codes, construction standards, and testing procedures.
· Strong analytical, documentation, and coordination skills.
· Good communication and problem-solving abilities.
Qualifications & Experience
· Bachelor’s / Diploma in Civil Engineering.
· 4–6 years of experience as a Quality Engineer in high-rise residential or commercial projects.
· Hands-on experience in RCC, finishing, and material testing.

· NCR closure rate within timelines
· Audit compliance and quality scores
Working Conditions
· Site-based role with coordination across execution, consultants, and contractors.
· Extended working hours during critical inspection and handover phases.
Salary- Upto 7,20,000
