About The Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Quality Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our new product development processes. This position involves collaborating with cross-functional teams including R&D, manufacturing, and supplier quality to implement quality standards and continuous improvement initiatives. The Quality Engineer will be responsible for participating in product design reviews, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring compliance with quality protocols throughout the development lifecycle. The role demands a strong understanding of quality methodologies, problem-solving skills, and the ability to drive corrective and preventive actions effectively.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in quality assurance or quality control functions, preferably within manufacturing or product development environments.
- Knowledge of advanced quality tools and methodologies such as DFMEA, PFMEA, DVP&R, and process capability studies.
- Familiarity with supplier quality processes including PPAP, validation, and process audits.
- Experience with AI applications in quality management is a plus.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
Responsibilities
- Participate actively in all new product development activities from the initial launch stage onwards, ensuring quality standards are integrated into every phase.
- Attend and contribute to design review meetings, ensuring that quality requirements are thoroughly addressed and aligned with project goals.
- Review DFMEA, PFMEA, and DVP&R documents to identify potential risks and ensure thorough validation of designs.
- Identify potential risks during product development and oversee the implementation of mitigation actions, tracking progress until closure.
- Review supplier quality activities related to new product development, including PPAP submissions, validation processes, and process capability studies to ensure supplier compliance and quality.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives by implementing lessons learned and refining quality processes.
- Ensure that product and process quality standards are maintained and compliant throughout the development phase.
- Lead corrective and preventive actions for any quality concerns identified during development, ensuring timely resolution.
- Support internal and customer audits, including preparation, documentation, and follow-up activities to uphold quality certifications and standards.
