About The Role
We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Engineer – Supplier & Incoming Quality (PDI) to join our team remotely from India. This role is integral to supporting our European production operations by ensuring that all products and components meet the highest quality standards before they are integrated into our final offerings. The successful candidate will coordinate incoming inspections, work closely with suppliers to monitor quality processes, and support continuous improvement initiatives. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic, international environment where your expertise will directly impact product quality, supplier collaboration, and overall customer satisfaction. The role requires a proactive approach, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate effectively across different teams and cultures.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a background in quality engineering, supplier quality management, or manufacturing. Prior experience with incoming inspection processes (PDI) and a solid understanding of quality standards are essential. Candidates should demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a hands-on mindset and willingness to visit suppliers when necessary. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills are required to coordinate effectively with internal teams and external partners. A proactive attitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a remote setting are highly valued. Relevant certifications in quality management (such as ISO standards, 8D, or root cause analysis tools) will be considered an advantage.
Responsibilities
The main responsibilities of this role include coordinating and supporting incoming inspections (PDI), ensuring compliance with technical and quality standards, and working collaboratively with suppliers to monitor and improve their processes. The Quality Engineer will verify corrective actions taken by suppliers to address quality issues and prevent recurrence. Tracking and managing quality issues from detection through to resolution will be a key aspect of the role, requiring meticulous documentation and follow-up. Supporting root cause analysis using methodologies such as 8D and 5 Whys will be essential in identifying underlying problems. Additionally, the candidate will provide valuable insights into quality trends, potential risks, and supplier performance metrics to inform continuous improvement initiatives and strategic decision-making.
