Compliance / Quality Officer is crucial for the food distribution process. Compliance Officer monitors and records the quality aspects of all inbound shipments, storage, and outbound deliveries so that the products meet the specified quality standards set by the organization before being send to the customer.
- Inspect and conduct audits of internal departments to ensure professional quality standards are maintained.
- Ensure the accuracy, reliability, completeness, and integrity of records maintained by internal team for external audit.
- Communicate the results of internal and external audit and put forward corrective suggestions to the senior management team.
- Inspect products to ensure that they meet quality standards.
- Create and perform tests for quality control of products and processes to ensure that our products meet customer expectations based on company objectives.
- Disassemble product packaging for inspections and perform food tastings.
- Engage as the point-of-contact for warehouse and logistics for quality control.
- Monitor and record warehouse operations during off-site audits to ensure conformance to company specifications.
- Update, record, and make any necessary adjustments to company quality standards.
- Monitor receiving record checklist, for recurring concerns faced related to shipment. Communicate with supplier to rectify the errors for future shipments.
- Keep record of all staff training required by the policy and provide refresher training upon expiry.
- Responsible for label assessment and communicating with suppliers in case of any amendments required.
- Customer complaint – Investigation and corrective action report.
· Review product formulations, ingredients, additives, and claims to confirm regulatory compliance before launch.
· Compliance with all the food safety requirements and audits are passed ERP (Oddo) and System integration and entry requirements.
· Ensure all food products comply with applicable local and international food laws, regulations, and standards.
· Provide regulatory guidance to procurement, quality, marketing, R&D, and commercial teams during product development and sourcing.
· Oversee label compliance, including ingredient declarations, nutrition facts, allergen statements, date marking, and mandatory bilingual requirements where applicable.
· Liaise with suppliers, manufacturers, laboratories, and internal departments to obtain and verify compliance-related documents such as specifications, certificates, and test reports.
· Responsible for ensuring all products are following the labelling procedures. Traceability and Mock recall activities will be carried out as per the procedure.
· Monitor updates to food regulations, standards, and authority guidelines, and assess their impact on current and future products.
· Good knowledge of FSSAI Licensing process, Import-Export, HORECA, QSR, Retails and Factory documentation.
· Maintain accurate regulatory files and ensure audit readiness for compliance-related documentation.
- Handle FSSAI-related submissions, follow-ups, and correspondence with consultants, authorities, and internal teams.
