Job Opportunity: Quality Controller – PackagingOur client, a prominent merchant trading and co-manufacturing firm based in Goregaon, is seeking a Quality Controller to manage quality standards across their vendor network. This role serves as the central link between corporate operations and manufacturing sites to ensure all products meet stringent international export specifications.
Role Overview
This is a corporate office-based position requiring frequent travel to vendor facilities. You will oversee production cycles and ensure 100% compliance with global standards, particularly for the US market.
Key Responsibilities- Vendor Oversight: Conduct on-site inspections during production runs to monitor raw materials, artwork accuracy, and structural parameters.
- Quality Inspections: Manage pre-production approvals, in-process checks, and final dispatch clearances (print quality, seal strength, and shade variation).
- Compliance: Maintain strict adherence to BRCGS, FSC, and cGMP/US FDA-related packaging standards.
- Issue Resolution: Identify defects, raise Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), and lead Root Cause Analysis and CAPA with vendors.
- Testing: Supervise physical testing (GSM, thickness, ink adhesion) and coordinate with external labs for advanced validation.
Required Qualifications- Education: Degree or Diploma in Packaging Technology, Printing, or a related technical field.
- Experience: 3–6 years in Quality Control within the flexible packaging or cartons industry.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in printing processes (flexo, roto, lamination) and knowledge of US export compliance.
- Logistics: Must be comfortable with frequent travel to vendor factories.
Compensation & Location- Budget: Up to 55,000 per month (depending on experience).
- Location: Goregaon, Mumbai.
