About the role
We are looking for a Quality Control Executive to join our Dombivli factory and take responsibility for maintaining garment quality standards throughout the production process.
The role will involve hands-on inspection and quality monitoring across fabric, cutting, stitching, finishing, packing and final dispatch.
The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of garment construction, measurements, workmanship and defect identification, along with the ability to work closely with production teams to identify problems early and drive corrective action.
Key responsibilities
1. In-Process Quality Control
- Conduct quality inspections at different stages of garment production.
- Monitor quality from fabric and cutting through stitching, finishing and packing.
- Carry out regular inline inspections to identify defects at an early stage.
- Ensure production follows approved samples, specifications, measurement charts and quality standards.
- Identify critical, major and minor defects and ensure timely corrective action.
2. Garment Inspection
Inspect garments for:
- Measurement and size accuracy
- Stitching and seam quality
- Open seams and broken stitches
- Skipped or uneven stitches
- Puckering and thread-related defects
- Fabric defects and shade variation
- Stains, holes, cuts and damages
- Collar, sleeve and cuff construction
- Hemming and finishing
- Zippers, buttons, hooks and other trims
- Printing and embroidery
- Appliqué and embellishment work, wherever applicable
- Ironing and overall garment appearance
- Labels, tags and packing requirements
3. Final Quality Inspection
- Conduct final inspection before garments move to packing or dispatch.
- Verify finished garments against approved samples and buyer specifications.
- Ensure packing, labelling, tagging and presentation requirements are correctly followed.
- Identify and report any garments that do not meet the required quality standards.
- Coordinate with the concerned production team for rectification and re-inspection.
4. Defect Control & Corrective Action
- Maintain daily defect and rejection records.
- Identify recurring quality issues and highlight them to the Production/Quality Manager.
- Work with production teams to identify the root cause of defects.
- Follow up on corrective and preventive actions.
- Monitor rework, alteration and rejection levels.
- Support continuous improvement in production quality and workmanship.
5. Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare and maintain daily QC inspection reports.
- Maintain defect, rejection, rework and alteration records.
- Record inspection findings accurately.
- Maintain quality-related documentation and checklists.
- Provide timely quality updates to the Quality/Production Manager.
- Support preparation of quality MIS and performance reports.
6. Production Coordination
- Work closely with Production, Sampling, Merchandising and Factory teams to resolve quality issues.
- Communicate quality concerns clearly and promptly.
- Ensure approved samples and technical specifications are available and followed on the production floor.
- Escalate critical quality issues that may affect delivery timelines or buyer requirements.
- Support production teams in maintaining consistent quality across styles and quantities.
Quality control Executive
The candidate should have practical knowledge of:
Fabric → Cutting → Sewing → Finishing → Packing → Final Inspection
and be able to identify quality issues related to:

Knowledge of AQL, defect classification and garment inspection procedures will be preferred.
Required skills & Experience
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in apparel/garment manufacturing.
- Hands-on experience in garment quality inspection.
- Strong understanding of garment construction and manufacturing processes.
- Good knowledge of garment measurement and specifications.
- Ability to identify defects accurately.
- Knowledge of inline and final inspection processes.
- Knowledge of AQL and defect classification preferred.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work effectively with production teams.
- Basic knowledge of MS Excel and quality documentation.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced factory environment.
Education
Diploma / Degree in:
- Garment Technology
- Textile Technology
- Fashion Technology
- Apparel Production
- Or a related field
Relevant practical experience in garment manufacturing will also be considered.

Important
This is a full-time, on-site factory position in Dombivli.
Candidates should be comfortable travelling daily to the Dombivli facility and working closely with production and factory teams.
