Role Description The Quality Control Supervisor is a full-time, on-site role based in the Pune/Pimpri-Chinchwad area. This role is responsible for supervising daily quality control activities, including inspection of incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products to ensure compliance with company and customer standards. The supervisor will plan and assign work to quality control staff, monitor performance, and provide guidance to maintain consistent quality across operations. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing and analyzing quality data, coordinating with production and engineering teams to resolve nonconformities, and implementing corrective and preventive actions. The role also involves maintaining documentation, supporting internal and external audits, ensuring adherence to safety and quality policies, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Quality Control and Quality Assurance skills to manage inspection processes and enforce quality standards.
- Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills to interpret quality data, identify trends, and support root cause analysis.
- Candidates should possess effective Supervisory Skills to lead quality control teams, allocate tasks, and coach team members.
- Candidates should possess relevant Laboratory Skills for testing, measurement, and use of inspection instruments where applicable.
- Diploma or degree in Mechanical/Automobile/Production Engineering or a related technical field.
- Experience in automotive or manufacturing quality functions, preferably in a supervisory or lead role.
- Knowledge of ISO standards, quality tools (e.g., 5 Why, Fishbone, Pareto), and basic statistical quality control methods.
- Strong communication and documentation skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work on-site in the Pune/Pimpri-Chinchwad area and adapt to dynamic production environments.
