Role Description The Quality Control Microbiologist at RBCL Ltd. is a full-time, on-site role based in Thane. The role involves performing routine microbiological testing of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products to ensure compliance with internal standards and regulatory requirements. The professional will prepare and maintain cultures, operate and calibrate laboratory equipment, document test results accurately, and support investigations into non-conformities or deviations. Responsibilities include maintaining aseptic techniques, monitoring environmental conditions, participating in internal audits, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve quality control processes. The role also requires adherence to safety protocols, laboratory housekeeping, and timely reporting of critical findings.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Quality Control skills, including understanding of standards, documentation practices, and compliance with regulatory guidelines.
- Candidates should possess solid Microbiology knowledge, including microbial identification, culturing techniques, and contamination control principles.
- Candidates should possess Laboratory Skills, such as sample handling, aseptic techniques, preparation of media and reagents, and maintenance of lab records.
- Candidates should possess Analytical Skills for interpreting test results, troubleshooting issues, and supporting root-cause analysis of quality deviations.
- Candidates should possess proficiency in operating and maintaining Laboratory Equipment, including incubators, autoclaves, microscopes, and related instruments.
- Relevant qualifications such as a bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, Biotechnology, or a related life science field; prior experience in a quality control or microbiology laboratory is preferred.
- Attention to detail, strong documentation skills, ability to follow SOPs, and familiarity with GMP or similar quality frameworks are highly beneficial.
- Effective communication skills, ability to work collaboratively in a team, and a commitment to safety and ethical laboratory practices are expected.
