Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Quality Control Inspector role based in Coimbatore. The Quality Control Inspector will perform routine inspections of machined, fabricated, welded, and cast components using appropriate measuring tools, gauges, and instruments. Responsibilities include verifying products against engineering drawings and specifications, documenting inspection results, and reporting non-conformities in line with internal procedures. The role involves collaborating with production, engineering, and quality teams to resolve quality issues, support corrective and preventive actions, and help maintain compliance with applicable quality standards. The inspector will also assist in maintaining inspection records, updating quality documentation, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives on the shop floor.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Quality Control, including hands-on experience with inspection procedures, measurement tools, and acceptance criteria.
- Knowledge of Quality Assurance and Quality Management practices, including documentation, non-conformance handling, and continuous improvement methods.
- Experience in Inspection of machined, fabricated, welded, and/or cast components against drawings, specifications, and industry standards.
- Effective Communication skills, including clear reporting of findings and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Familiarity with ISO or similar quality management systems and basic understanding of statistical quality tools is an advantage.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, GD&T, and work instructions accurately.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving mindset, and readiness to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
