We are looking for a detail-oriented QC Executive who can handle quality control for both jewellery and diamonds. The candidate will be responsible for inspecting finished and in-process jewellery, checking diamond quality and matching, ensuring product specifications are met, and maintaining high standards of workmanship, finishing, and stone quality before dispatch.
Key ResponsibilitiesJewellery QC
- Inspect gold, diamond, and gemstone jewellery at different production stages and final stage.
- Check jewellery for:
- finishing and polish quality
- soldering and assembly
- symmetry and alignment
- prong, bezel, and setting quality
- lock and mechanism functionality
- scratches, dents, porosity, and other visible defects
- Verify product dimensions, weight, size, metal color, and design accuracy as per approved sample or CAD.
- Ensure all jewellery pieces meet brand and customer quality standards before dispatch.
- Coordinate with production, setting, polishing, and repair teams for corrections and rework.
Diamond QC
- Check diamonds for matching in terms of size, shape, color, clarity, cut, and overall appearance.
- Inspect loose and mounted diamonds for chips, cracks, black spots, abrasions, and other defects.
- Verify stone placement, alignment, setting tightness, and security in finished jewellery.
- Ensure correct stone count, carat weight, and matching as per job order or design sheet.
- Identify and segregate rejected or non-conforming stones/products.
- Help in improving QC processes, checkpoints, and quality standards.
- Ensure compliance with company SOPs and customer requirements.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of jewellery manufacturing and diamond grading basics.
- Good eye for detail and strong inspection ability.
- Understanding of finishing, setting, polish, and product construction.
- Ability to identify defects in both jewellery and diamonds.
- Familiarity with QC tools such as loupe, microscope, gauge, weighing scale, and measuring instruments.
- Basic understanding of diamond parameters: 4Cs (Cut, Color, Clarity, Carat).
- Good documentation and reporting skills.
- Ability to work with production teams and meet dispatch timelines.
- 2–5 years of experience in jewellery QC and diamond QC.
- Experience in handling finished jewellery inspection and diamond matching/checking preferred.
