Job Description
Position: Quality Control Manager
Location: Faridabad
Package - 5-6lpa
Role Overview
The Quality Control Manager will be responsible for ensuring that all products meet established quality standards and regulatory requirements. The role involves overseeing quality inspection processes, implementing quality control systems, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across the manufacturing process.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality control systems and procedures
- Ensure effective testing and calibration of instruments and equipment, maintaining accuracy, reliability, and compliance with defined quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure compliance with applicable standards such as ISO 9001 and other regulatory requirements
- Monitor production processes to ensure adherence to quality standards
- Lead incoming, in-process, and final inspection activities
- Identify quality issues and drive root cause analysis and corrective actions (CAPA)
- Coordinate with production, engineering, and supply chain teams for quality improvement
- Manage and mentor the QC team, ensuring proper training and performance management
- Handle customer complaints and ensure timely resolution
- Conduct internal audits and support external audits
- Maintain documentation, reports, and quality records
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Reduction in defect rates and rework
- First Pass Yield (FPY) improvement
- Customer complaint resolution time
- Audit compliance and closure rate
- Process improvement initiatives implemented
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of quality control tools (7 QC tools, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing)
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and process-oriented mindset
- Leadership and team management abilities
- Strong communication and stakeholder management
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering / quality management / Relevant Field
Experience
- 3–5 years of experience in quality control within a manufacturing environment
- Experience in handling audits and compliance requirements
- Experience in Water Meters / Gas Meters Testing / Calibration is a plus
Additional Requirements
- Familiarity with regulatory and statutory compliance
- Proficiency in MS Office and quality management systems
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing setup
