Quality Control Engineer – Civil
Project: Commercial Hotel Construction
Location: Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh
Employment Type: Full-Time, Site-Based
Experience: 5+ Years
Qualification: B.Tech / B.E. in Civil Engineering
Salary: Up to ₹60,000 per month, depending on experience and suitability
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and control quality of civil construction activities at the project site.
- Conduct inspections of RCC, reinforcement, shuttering, masonry, plastering, waterproofing, flooring and other finishing works.
- Ensure construction activities are carried out as per approved drawings, specifications and method statements.
- Inspect incoming construction materials and verify quality certificates/test reports.
- Coordinate and supervise concrete sampling, cube testing, slump tests and other required site tests.
- Maintain inspection records, test reports, checklists and quality documentation.
- Raise and follow up on Inspection Requests (IR), Material Inspection Reports (MIR) and related quality documentation.
- Identify quality issues/non-conformities and coordinate with site teams for corrective and preventive actions.
- Ensure proper implementation of project Quality Assurance / Quality Control (QA/QC) procedures.
- Coordinate with project engineers, site supervisors, subcontractors, consultants and testing agencies regarding quality matters.
- Verify workmanship and ensure compliance with approved drawings and technical specifications.
- Maintain records of material testing, site inspections and quality-related observations.
- Assist in preparing quality reports and maintaining project quality documentation.
- Monitor corrective actions and ensure closure of quality observations and NCRs.
- Ensure compliance with relevant IS codes, project specifications and construction quality standards.
- Support the project team during consultant/client inspections and quality audits.
Required Qualification & Experience
- B.Tech / B.E. in Civil Engineering is mandatory.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Civil Quality Control / QA-QC.
- Candidates with experience in commercial buildings, hotels, high-rise buildings or large-scale building construction will be preferred.
- Strong knowledge of RCC, structural and finishing works.
- Good understanding of construction materials, testing procedures and quality documentation.
- Knowledge of relevant IS codes and construction specifications.
- Good coordination and communication skills.
- Candidates should be willing to work at the Vijayawada project site.
