Role Overview
We are looking for a Quality Control Engineer - MEP with strong and practical MEP experience. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring that MEP installation and execution comply with approved drawings, specifications, project standards, and quality requirements. Strong additional experience in HVAC and Fire Protection Systems is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and control the quality of MEP works throughout project execution.
- Inspect MEP installations against approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and applicable standards.
- Conduct quality inspections specifically for HVAC, Fire Protection, and other MEP services.
- Identify non-conformities and coordinate corrective actions until complete closure.
- Review material submittals, inspection requests, checklists, method statements, and quality documentation.
- Coordinate with site engineers, contractors, consultants, and project teams to resolve quality-related issues.
- Maintain comprehensive inspection records, quality reports, checklists, and project documentation.
- Support internal and external quality audits.
- Ensure strict compliance with project quality procedures and technical requirements.
- Monitor workmanship and installation practices to ensure the timely rectification of defects.
- Work collaboratively with project teams to ensure quality standards are consistently maintained.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, MEP Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 5 to 10 years of relevant MEP Quality Control/Quality Assurance experience.
- Very strong practical knowledge and hands-on experience in MEP systems.
- Strong exposure and technical proficiency in HVAC systems.
- Strong exposure and technical proficiency in Fire Protection Systems.
- Proven experience in inspecting MEP installations and interpreting complex technical drawings and specifications.
- Sound knowledge of quality inspection procedures, non-conformance report (NCR) handling, corrective actions, and quality documentation.
- Strong understanding of site execution protocols and MEP quality requirements.
- Excellent coordination, documentation, and communication skills.
- Candidates with a notice period of 30 days or less will be strictly considered.
