About the Role
Chemco Innovative Chemie Pvt Ltd, a leading specialty and fine chemicals manufacturer, is seeking a skilled Quality Control Chemist to ensure GMP-compliant analysis and testing of high-purity fine chemicals and pharmaceutical intermediates. Expertise in analytical techniques required to support R&D and production scale-up—and everyday QC work like raw material (RM), in-process, and finished product testing.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine and stability testing, method validation, and characterization of intermediates and final products using HPLC, GC, UV-Vis, and other instruments.
- Maintain precise analytical logs, calibration records, and documentation in line with GMP Good Documentation Practices.
- Ensure all testing aligns with GMP, APIC, GLP, ISO, and internal quality protocols.
- Partner with R&D and production teams for real-time product testing and impurity profiling.
- Support process optimization, pilot trials, and technology transfers through accurate analytical data and batch validation.
- Track test results, document deviations/OOS, and participate in root cause analysis and CAPA during scale-up.
- Validate analytical methods per ICH Q2 guidelines to ensure reliability for production releases.
- Suggest improvements for testing efficiency, cost savings, and method robustness.
- Stay updated on latest analytical technologies, pharmacopoeial standards (IP/USP/BP), and industry best practices.
- Contribute to raw material qualification, stability studies, and audit readiness.
Requirements
- M.Sc/B.Sc in Organic Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, or Chemical Engineering.
- Minimum 1 year hands-on QC experience in fine chemicals, intermediates, or APIs.
- Proficiency in analytical instruments (HPLC, GC, UV-Vis Spectroscopy, FTIR, Karl Fischer, Titration).
- Proven analytical problem-solving, documentation, and method validation abilities.
- Strong familiarity with GMP, ISO, and ICH norms.
- Self-driven, organized, and thrives in a fast-paced, quality-focused setting.
- Must be local resident from Boisar or immediate vicinity (no relocation assistance provided).
