Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Quality Analyst with 0-2 years of experience in web testing to join our dynamic quality assurance team. As a QA, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and stability of our software products through rigorous testing processes. Your primary focus will be on smoke testing and ensuring that the basic functionality of the application is working as expected before further in-depth testing is conducted.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform smoke testing on applications after new builds to verify that the critical functionalities of the application are working as expected.
- Collaborate with development and product teams to understand the scope and requirements of testing.
- Execute automated and manual test scripts, ensuring that issues are reported and tracked.
- Create and maintain test documentation, including test cases, test plans, and test reports.
- Assist in identifying and troubleshooting bugs and issues, providing detailed feedback to the development team.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the quality of testing processes.
- Report and track defects, issues, and test results to ensure proper resolution and timely delivery.
- Ensure that all test activities are aligned with the project’s schedule and milestones.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Fresher/ 0-2 years of experience in quality assurance and smoke testing.
- Proficiency in manual testing and understanding of test automation concepts.
- Familiarity with bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla, or similar).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to think critically and creatively.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication skills and ability to articulate complex issues clearly.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
- Familiarity with testing frameworks and tools like Selenium, Postman, or TestNG.
- Knowledge of basic SQL queries for database testing.
- Experience with performance or load testing tools is a plus.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
