Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Quality Assurance Tester at the Bengaluru office. The selected candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of web and enterprise applications. The role involves executing test cases, validating system functionality, identifying defects, and ensuring that software meets business and user expectations before release. The individual will collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to analyze requirements, design test scenarios, and maintain high product quality across the company’s range of AI-driven products and enterprise solutions. The role also focuses on contributing to a seamless and high-quality user experience across applications and platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze functional and technical requirements to design effective test scenarios and test cases.
- Perform manual testing of web applications, enterprise platforms, ERP, CRM and SaaS-based systems.
- Execute functional, regression, integration and system testing to validate application behavior and stability.
- Conduct edge case and boundary testing to identify defects under unusual or unexpected conditions.
- Validate application workflows, UI functionality and data accuracy across different environments.
- Perform cross-browser and cross-platform testing to ensure consistent application performance.
- Identify, document and track software defects using bug tracking tools.
- Collaborate with developers and product stakeholders to resolve issues and improve product quality.
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and assist in pre-release validation activities.
- Participate in Agile / Scrum development processes, including sprint testing and release cycles.
- Perform basic API validation and database verification using SQL queries when required.
- Maintain test documentation, defect logs and test execution reports.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience in Manual Software Testing.
- Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
- Experience in test case design, execution and defect management.
- Experience testing web applications and enterprise platforms.
- Good understanding of testing methodologies including functional, regression, integration and boundary testing.
- Basic understanding of API testing concepts and SQL queries is an advantage.
- Familiarity with bug tracking tools such as JIRA or similar platforms.
- Strong analytical thinking, attention-to-detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
