Role Description
We are looking for a Quality Assurance Team Lead for a full-time, on-site role located in Mohali district. We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive QA Lead with strong expertise in Manual and
Automation Testing, along with proven experience in team management, client
communication, and stakeholder engagement.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading end-to-end QA activities, building scalable
automation frameworks, mentoring team members, and directly interacting with clients for
requirement understanding, demos, and quality discussions. This role requires a blend of
technical excellence, leadership, and strong communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
QA Strategy & Execution
● Define and implement comprehensive QA strategies, test plans, and test approaches.
● Oversee complete testing lifecycle including Functional, Regression, Integration,
System, UAT, and Smoke Testing.
● Ensure maximum test coverage and minimize production defects.
● Drive continuous improvement in QA processes and quality standards.
Automation & Technical Expertise
● Design, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks (Selenium WebDriver –
Java/Python).
● Perform API Testing using Postman/Rest Assured.
● Conduct Database Testing using SQL (MySQL/PostgreSQL).
● Execute Performance & Load Testing (JMeter).
● Ensure application security testing aligned with OWASP guidelines.
Team Handling & Leadership
● Lead, mentor, and manage a team of QA engineers.
● Allocate tasks, review test cases, and monitor daily QA deliverables.
● Conduct regular performance reviews and support team development.
● Foster a collaborative, high-performance team environment.
Client Interaction & Demos
● Act as a key point of contact for clients on QA-related activities.
● Participate in client meetings, requirement discussions, and status updates.
● Conduct product demos and walkthroughs showcasing quality deliverables.
● Handle client feedback effectively and ensure timely resolution of concerns.
Process & Collaboration
● Collaborate closely with Developers, Product Managers, and Business Analysts.
● Actively participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies.
● Manage defect lifecycle using JIRA.
● Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and release management processes.
● Prepare and present QA reports, metrics, and dashboards to stakeholders and clients.
Required Skills & Experience:
● 7–10 years of experience in Software Testing (Manual + Automation).
● Strong hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver.
● Expertise in Automation Frameworks (Hybrid, Data-driven, POM).
● Proficiency in Java or Python.
● Strong understanding of STLC, SDLC, and QA methodologies.
● Experience in API Testing and Database Testing (SQL).
● Hands-on experience with JIRA, Git, and CI/CD tools (Jenkins).
● Experience in Performance Testing (JMeter).
● Proven experience in team handling, mentoring, and leadership.
● Strong experience in client communication, stakeholder management, and demos.
● Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
