Job Title- Quality Assurance Specialist
Location- Remote
Position Overview
The Quality Assurance (QA) Specialist will be responsible for the meticulous review and validation of instructional materials across a range of subjects, including Mathematics, Science, ELA, and Social Studies. This role ensures that all lessons are educationally sound, aligned with U.S. curriculum standards, and technically optimized for the digital learning platform. The specialist will act as the final line of defense to ensure instructional accuracy, clarity, and a seamless student experience.
Key Responsibilities
Instructional Review and Alignment:
- Review lessons across all core subjects (Maths, Science, ELA, and Social Studies) to ensure strict alignment with U.S. state and national standards.
- Verify the instructional accuracy and clarity of content, ensuring that concepts are explained correctly and are age-appropriate.
- Validate the quality and rigor of "Exit Tickets" and practice exercises to ensure they effectively measure learning objectives.
Content Flow and User Experience:
- Evaluate lesson flow and transitions to ensure a logical and engaging progression for the learner.
- Check for platform-specific formatting consistency, ensuring all multimedia elements, text, and interactive components are complete and functional.
- Ensure that the narrative voice and instructional tone remain consistent across different subject areas.
Issue Tracking and Resolution:
- Systematically flag pedagogical errors, typos, or technical glitches within the production environment.
- Maintain detailed logs to track identified issues from discovery through to successful resolution.
- Provide constructive feedback to Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and curriculum developers to improve future content iterations.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Curriculum Development, or a related field.
- Proven experience in Quality Assurance or editorial review within the K-12 educational publishing or EdTech sector.
- Strong cross-disciplinary knowledge (Maths, Science, ELA, and Social Studies) at the elementary, middle, or high school level.
- Must be comfortable working with AI Tools and digital content management systems.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a "student-first" mindset regarding content usability.
Preferred:
- Master’s degree in Education or Instructional Design.
- Experience working specifically with Articulate Rise or similar e-learning authoring tools.
- Familiarity with diverse US state standards (e.g., Common Core, NGSS, C3 Framework).
Skills and Attributes
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to spot subtle errors in complex logic or formatting.
- Excellent written communication skills for providing clear, actionable feedback.
- Ability to manage high volumes of content across multiple subjects while meeting tight deadlines.
- Tech-savvy with a quick learning curve for new instructional technology platforms.
- Highly organized and capable of working independently in a remote, contract-based environment.
