Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai for a Quality Assurance Quality Control Engineer. The role involves developing and implementing QA/QC procedures in line with project specifications, standards, and regulatory requirements. The engineer will conduct regular inspections of materials, workmanship, and construction activities, documenting findings and ensuring corrective actions are taken. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing drawings and technical documents, preparing and maintaining quality records, conducting quality audits, and coordinating with project managers, site engineers, and subcontractors to resolve quality issues. The role also includes monitoring compliance with safety and quality standards, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and reporting quality performance to project leadership.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Quality Assurance and Quality Management to develop, implement, and maintain project-specific quality plans and procedures.
- Hands-on experience in Quality Control and Inspection of construction activities, materials, and workmanship on site.
- Experience with Quality Auditing, including internal and external audits, non-conformance reporting, and corrective/preventive actions.
- Knowledge of relevant construction standards, codes, and regulatory requirements applicable to civil and building projects.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- Proficiency in using MS Office and basic project documentation tools; familiarity with QA/QC software or systems is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset, and ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Effective communication and coordination skills to work with multidisciplinary teams, subcontractors, and clients on site.
- Prior experience in QA/QC roles within construction or infrastructure projects in India is preferred.
- Commitment to safety, ethical practices, and continuous improvement in quality performance.
