Role Description The Quality Assurance Quality Control Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai. This role is responsible for setting up and implementing QA/QC processes for logistics and warehousing operations, ensuring compliance with internal standards and customer requirements. Day-to-day tasks include conducting inspections of processes and materials, performing quality audits, monitoring key quality metrics, and identifying root causes of nonconformities. The engineer will collaborate with operations, warehouse, and technology teams to drive corrective and preventive actions, support continuous improvement initiatives, and maintain documentation related to quality management systems. The role also involves training team members on quality procedures, supporting customer quality reviews, and contributing to the development of best practices across sites.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess skills in Quality Assurance and Quality Control, including the ability to establish standards and monitor operational performance.
- Candidates should possess skills in Quality Auditing and Inspection, with experience conducting process reviews and on-site checks in logistics or manufacturing environments.
- Candidates should possess skills in Quality Management, including documentation, reporting, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Relevant experience in logistics, warehousing, supply chain, or industrial operations is highly beneficial.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills, with attention to detail.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate clearly with stakeholders.
- Familiarity with quality management systems (QMS), ISO standards, or similar frameworks is an advantage.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
