Job Summary
We are seeking a Quality Assurance & Operations Engineer to oversee our complete product lifecycle. In this role, you will be the gatekeeper of quality, responsible for inspecting sheet metal products and components at every stage—from inward raw material receipt through precision in-between operations to final outward dispatch. Additionally, you will manage inventory levels and generate timely production reports to ensure seamless, data-driven factory operations. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Rabale, Navi Mumbai.
Key Responsibilities
1. End-to-End Quality Assurance & Inspection
- Inward Inspection: Verify incoming sheet metal coils, plates, and outsourced components against exact material grades, thickness tolerances, and technical specifications. Outsourcing chemical testing of material for chemical testing to confirm the quality procured as per our requirement and order.
- In-Process Inspection: Conduct regular floor audits and stage-wise inspections between fabrication operations (e.g., cutting, forming, deep drawing, welding, and assembly) to ensure strict adherence to given product drawings
- Outward Inspection: Perform final quality checks and dimensional verification on finished cryocans and gas outlet products prior to packaging to ensure zero-defect dispatch.
- Defect Management: Identify deviations, handle rejection logs, and implement Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) to minimize scrap and rework.
2. Material & Inventory Management
- Track and manage inventory levels of raw sheet metal, in-progress components (WIP), and finished cryocans/gas parts.
- Data collection to be added in the system for cloud share.
- Maintain proper labeling, segregation, and traceability of materials across the shop floor.
3. Production Reporting & Analytics
- Compile and present daily production reports capturing output, yield, and floor efficiency.
Role Requirements
- Degree: Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Production, or Industrial Engineering.
- Experience: Experience:0 – 2 years (Freshers are highly encouraged to apply).
Technical & Soft Skills
- Strong ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings, and basic measuring units.
- Proficiency with precision measuring tools (vernier calipers, micrometers, gauges) and sheet metal testing methods.
- Assertive communication skills to confidently manage quality standards with both shop floor operators and management.
- Company Timings: 8am to 6:30pm (On-site)
