Quality Assurance Manager
Due to continued growth, The InterProse Corporation is looking for the next great addition to our team. The Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for leading and evolving our quality strategy across our innovative cloud-based receivables management solution—ACE. This role combines hands-on engineering, leadership, and strategic direction to ensure we deliver high-quality software at speed.
In the early stages, this role will operate as a player-coach, contributing directly to automation and testing efforts while building and mentoring a high-performing QA team. As the team grows, the role will transition to a stronger focus on leadership, process, and delivery accountability.

What skills can you bring to the InterProse team?
- 7+ years of experience in software quality assurance, including hands-on automation and testing
- Proven experience leading or mentoring QA engineers or technical teams
- Strong experience building and scaling automated testing frameworks and strategies
- Ability to operate as a hands-on contributor while leading a team
- Experience aligning QA strategy with product roadmaps and delivery timelines
- Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated testing into release processes
- Ability to balance automation with targeted manual testing where appropriate
- Experience working in Agile development environments and managing competing priorities
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate system behavior, logs, and data
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to drive accountability while fostering a collaborative and supportive team culture
Preferred experience
- Experience in Java-based environments
- Experience with PostgreSQL or similar relational databases
- Experience testing APIs and distributed systems
- Familiarity with AWS environments and logging/monitoring tools
- Experience with performance and load testing tools and methodologies
- Experience leveraging AI tools to improve testing efficiency, coverage, and team productivity
Technologies & Tools
- Languages & Build: Java (preferred), Gradle
- Test Automation: Selenium or Playwright, TestNG/JUnit, API testing (RestAssured, Postman)
- Databases: SQL (PostgreSQL/Aurora RDS) for data validation
- CI/CD & Version Control: Git (Bitbucket), CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions)
- Cloud & Infrastructure: AWS (EC2, ECS, Aurora RDS, S3, KMS)
- Debugging & Monitoring: Experience analyzing logs and troubleshooting distributed systems; exposure to tools like CloudWatch, Dynatrace, or Datadog
- Performance Testing: Exposure to tools like JMeter or similar (nice to have)
- Modern Testing Practices:
o Experience with Playwright or modern automation frameworks
o Exposure to AI-assisted or agentic testing approaches (e.g., Codex, Claude Code, MCP, self-healing tests, AI-generated test cases)
What you will be doing
- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of Quality Assurance Engineers
- Partner with the Director of Indian Operations to recruit and build a high-performing QA team
- Define and execute a QA strategy aligned with the CTO’s product roadmap and delivery timelines
- Establish and maintain an automation-first testing approach across the platform
- Contribute directly to test automation and quality efforts, especially in early stages of team growth
- Ensure appropriate balance between automated and manual testing to maximize coverage and efficiency
- Partner closely with engineering, product, and leadership teams to ensure quality is built into every release
- Oversee test planning, execution, and release validation processes
- Participate in release readiness and go/no-go discussions, providing clear quality assessments to leadership
- Monitor quality metrics and continuously improve processes, tools, and team performance
- Identify risks early and proactively address issues that could impact delivery or product quality \
- Drive accountability for quality across teams, not just within QA
Working Hours & Time Zone Requirement
- This role requires partial alignment with the US Pacific Time (PST) zone.
- Candidates must work a schedule that provides a minimum of 2–3 hours of daily overlap with US Pacific Time (PST) during standard US business hours
- This typically translates to late afternoon to early evening IST, with slight adjustments during US daylight saving periods
- Candidates should be able to consistently support this time zone requirement
- Flexibility to extend overlap hours during critical releases, implementation phases, go-lives, or high-priority issue resolution is expected.
