Our company is currently managing the recruitment process on behalf of Arrocerías Pons, a well-established Spanish company specializing in rice processing and sourcing. Through our association with the ownership group, the hired candidate will work closely with their quality and procurement teams in Spain to support supplier quality assurance, origin inspections, processing plant audits, and compliance management activities across India. The selected candidate will play a key role in coordinating with Indian suppliers and ensuring compliance with European quality and food safety standards.
The role is highly field-oriented and involves supplier audits, quality inspections, shipment supervision, issue investigation, supplier development, and coordination with the Spain quality team. The selected person will work from our office in Jaipur under our local supervision and coordination.

- QUALITY ASSURANCE MANAGER – Food / Agri / Processing Industry Specifically Rice
Role Purpose
The Quality Assurance Manager will be responsible for implementing and driving quality assurance at origin, ensuring that suppliers, products, and processes comply with European Requirement, customer specifications, and internal standards. This role will act as the key quality interface between Indian suppliers and the Quality/Procurement teams in Europe.
Important Requirement (Read Before Applying)
This role is strictly for candidates with experience in:
- Food processing
- Agri commodities (rice, grains, oilseeds, etc.)
- Or any regulated manufacturing industry involving physical product quality.
- Candidates from IT, BPO, service, or software QA backgrounds will not be considered.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct supplier and processing plant audits based on HACCP, GMP, IFS, BRC, ISO standards
- Prepare detailed audit reports with observations, non-conformities, and improvement plans
- Follow up and ensure closure of non-conformities (CAPA)
- Design and implement control plans based on raw material risk assessment
- Monitor raw material quality, batch processing, and in-process inspections
- Conduct pre-shipment inspections and supervise container loading at port
- Handle quality incidents at destination (EU markets) and lead root cause analysis.
- Coordinate with third-party labs for sampling, testing, and COA verification
- Prepare campaign reports (crop quality, volumes, supplier performance, etc.)
- Identify and evaluate new suppliers / product opportunities (varieties)
Reporting Line & Interfaces
- Reports to: Quality Director / Head of Quality, Europe and Director, India
Required Qualifications and Experiences:
Bachelor’s degree in:
- Food Science / Technology
- Agriculture / Biotechnology
- Chemistry / Microbiology
- Or related field
Minimum 3–8 years of experience in: Food / Agri / Processing Industry Specifically Rice
- Supplier Quality / Plant QA / Food Safety
Hands-on experience with:
- HACCP / GMP / FSSC / BRC / ISO systems
- Supplier audits / factory audits
- Raw material inspection & batch release
- Pre-shipment inspection & loading supervision
Experience with:
- COA verification
- Lab coordination
- Export-oriented quality systems (preferred)
Skills & Competencies
- Strong practical knowledge of food safety & product quality risks.
- Ability to take on-ground decisions (accept/reject shipments).
- Structured problem-solving using RCA tools (5 Whys, Ishikawa, CAPA)
- Excellent communication skills (English required).
- Highly field-oriented mindset comfortable working in factories, warehouses, and rural sourcing areas.
- Ability to manage multiple suppliers across locations independently
- High integrity and commitment to quality and compliance
Location & Travel
- Location: Jaipur, Rajasthan (candidates based out of Jaipur or willing to relocate).
- Role involves frequent travel across India and occasional international travel.
