Quality Assurance Manager – ISO & ESG

Role Overview

We are seeking an accomplished ISO & ESG Compliance Manager to independently oversee ISO certifications, audits, and sustainability compliance across the organisation. This pivotal role requires a professional with proven expertise in managing ISO 9001 (Quality), ISO 14001 (Environment), ISO 27001 (Information Security), and ESG frameworks. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience conducting audits, liaising with external certification bodies, and driving continuous compliance and improvement initiatives that strengthen organisational resilience and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage internal and external audits across ISO 9001, 14001, 27001, and ESG frameworks.
• Coordinate with external auditors and certification bodies to ensure successful certifications and surveillance audits.
• Ensure timely renewal, maintenance, and expansion of ISO & ESG certifications.
• Maintain accurate documentation, compliance records, and audit trails across all standards.
• Identify gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities in quality, environmental, information security, and ESG systems.
• Act as the single point of contact for all ISO and ESG compliance matters.
• Educate, train, and guide internal teams on ISO standards, ESG practices, and audit readiness.
• Ensure zero non-compliance and maintain continuous audit preparedness.
• Support the integration of sustainability and governance principles into business operations.

Risk Reporting & Management

o Establish and maintain a risk management framework aligned with ISO and ESG standards.

o Conduct regular risk assessments across quality, environment, information security, and sustainability domains.

o Report risk findings to senior management and recommend mitigation strategies.

o Monitor effectiveness of risk controls and update risk registers regularly.

Required Skills & Experience

• 10+ years of experience in ISO / Quality / Compliance Management.
• Proven track record in:
• Managing external ISO audits and certification processes.
• ISO certification renewals and surveillance audits.
• ESG compliance reporting and sustainability frameworks.
• Quality documentation, compliance frameworks, and risk management.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to review and manage large volumes of documentation.
• Independent, ethical, and process-driven mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.

Preferred (Good to Have)

• Background in design, publishing, or related industries.
• Existing network or familiarity with ISO certification bodies and ESG reporting frameworks (GRI, SASB, CSRD).
• Experience in setting up or improving ISO and ESG processes from scratch.
• Exposure to sustainability reporting tools and metrics.
