We’re Hiring: QA Lead (Manual & Automation – Selenium, Pytest)
Location: Chennai / Nagpur
Experience: 6–7 Years
Employment Type: Full-Time
We are looking for an experienced QA Lead with 6–7 years of experience in manual and automation testing who can drive end-to-end quality strategy across multiple projects. The ideal candidate should have strong technical expertise in Selenium with Pytest or Playwright, hands-on automation experience, and the ability to lead and mentor a QA team in an Agile environment.
This role requires a balance of technical expertise, leadership skills, and process ownership to ensure high-quality product releases.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Strategy
- Own and drive overall QA strategy, test planning, and execution across projects.
- Lead and mentor a team of QA engineers (Manual & Automation).
- Define quality metrics, KPIs, and improvement initiatives.
- Establish QA processes, standards, and best practices.
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Project teams.
Automation & Technical Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks using Selenium with Pytest.
- Review automation scripts and ensure adherence to coding standards.
- Integrate automation test suites into CI/CD pipelines.
- Improve automation coverage and reduce manual regression efforts.
- Provide technical guidance for API and database testing.
Test Planning & Execution
- Create comprehensive test strategies and test plans.
- Oversee functional, regression, integration, system, and API testing.
- Ensure complete test coverage using a risk-based testing approach.
- Review and approve test cases and test reports.
- Track and manage defects using tools such as Jira and TestRail.
Required Skills
- 6–7 years of experience in manual and automation testing.
- Minimum 3+ years of experience leading QA teams.
- Strong expertise in Selenium WebDriver with Pytest.
- Strong proficiency in Python for automation scripting.
- Experience building automation frameworks.
- Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and defect lifecycle.
- Experience in API testing and SQL.
- Experience working in Agile environments.
- Experience integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong analytical and leadership skills.
Good to Have
- Performance testing experience (JMeter or LoadRunner)
- Knowledge of Docker and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Security testing exposure
- Experience with BDD frameworks
- Experience testing microservices architecture
