Job Title: QA Intern (Quality Assurance Intern)

About the Role
Pinkvilla is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented QA Intern to support the Quality Assurance team in ensuring high product quality across our mobile applications (Android & iOS) and web platforms.
This is a great opportunity for someone looking to start a career in software testing and gain hands-on experience in manual testing, mobile app testing, and basic automation practices.
You will work closely with the QA, Product, and Engineering teams to learn and contribute to delivering stable and high-performing product releases.
Key Responsibilities
1) Manual Testing Support
- Understand product requirements and assist in creating test cases and test scenarios
- Execute test cases for functional, regression, and smoke testing
- Identify and report bugs with clear steps to reproduce
- Support QA team in validating new features before release
- Perform basic cross-browser and cross-device testing
2) Mobile App Testing (Android & iOS)
- Assist in testing mobile applications across different devices and OS versions
- Validate app flows such as onboarding, login, browsing, and navigation
- Support testing of app updates, installs, and basic functionality
- Help identify UI/UX inconsistencies and usability issues
3) API Testing (Basic Exposure)
- Learn and assist in API testing using tools like Postman
- Validate basic API responses under guidance
- Support backend testing activities
4) Automation (Learning & Support)
- Assist in maintaining automated test scripts
- Learn basics of automation tools like Selenium/Appium/Cypress
- Support execution of automated test cases and report results
5) Agile & QA Processes
- Participate in sprint meetings and QA discussions
- Maintain documentation of test cases, bugs, and test results
- Assist in release testing and post-release validation
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
- Basic understanding of software testing concepts (manual testing, SDLC/STLC)
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Basic knowledge of web and mobile applications
- Good communication skills
Good to Have (Not Mandatory)
- Exposure to any testing tool (Selenium, Postman, etc.)
- Basic understanding of APIs and how web/mobile apps work
- Familiarity with bug tracking tools (like JIRA)
- Interest in automation testing
