Role Description
The Quality Assurance Executive will be responsible for ensuring that all manufacturing processes, raw materials, in-process controls, and finished products comply with internal quality standards as well as regulatory requirements. The role involves documentation control, process validation, compliance audits, and coordination with production and QC teams.
Key Responsibilities
1. Quality Systems & Compliance
- Implement and maintain Quality Management Systems (QMS)
- Ensure compliance with GMP / Schedule M / ISO standards (as applicable)
- Prepare and update SOPs, BMRs, BPRs, and quality manuals
- Handle internal and external audits (customer/regulatory)
2. Documentation & Record Control
- Review and approve:
- Batch Manufacturing Records (BMR)
- Batch Packing Records (BPR)
- Maintain proper documentation for:
- Deviations
- Change controls
- CAPA (Corrective & Preventive Actions)
3. Process & Product Quality
- Monitor in-process quality checks
- Ensure adherence to specifications for raw materials and finished goods
- Investigate out-of-specification (OOS) results and deviations
- Work closely with QC and production teams to resolve quality issues
4. Validation & Qualification
- Support:
- Process validation
- Equipment qualification (IQ/OQ/PQ)
- Cleaning validation
- Ensure proper documentation and traceability
5. Vendor & Raw Material Quality
- Approve vendors in coordination with procurement
- Ensure incoming raw materials meet required specifications
- Conduct vendor audits where required
6. Training & Continuous Improvement
- Train shop-floor personnel on SOPs and GMP practices
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in quality systems
- Promote a strong quality culture within the organization
Candidate Profile
Education
- B.Sc / M.Sc in Chemistry / Industrial Chemistry
- B.Pharm / M.Pharm (preferred for API exposure)
- B.Tech/ M.Tech in chemical engineering
Experience
- 2–5 years in QA in chemical / pharma / food manufacturing
- Experience with audit handling and documentation-heavy environments is a must
Skills Required
- Strong knowledge of:
- GMP / ISO standards
- Documentation practices
- Attention to detail and process orientation
- Ability to coordinate across departments
- Good communication and audit-facing capability
Preferred Background
- Experience in:
- Solvent-based processes
- Handling flammable/volatile chemical environments
- Exposure to export documentation / global client requirements (e.g., COA, MSDS, specifications)
Key Performance Indicators
- Audit readiness and compliance score
- Reduction in deviations and OOS cases
- Timely closure of CAPAs
- Documentation accuracy and turnaround time
Compensation
