About the Role:
We’re a small team with insanely large ambitions. We are looking for a QA Engineer – Manual & Automation Testing who will be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of SafeGold’s products and platforms.
You will work closely with engineering, product, and design teams to identify product gaps, improve testing processes, and ensure seamless user experiences across web and mobile applications. This role requires a strong understanding of both manual and automation testing methodologies, with the ability to build scalable QA processes in a fast-paced startup environment.
You’ll play a critical role in improving product quality by proactively identifying issues, automating test coverage, and ensuring high engineering standards throughout the development lifecycle.
What will your job entail:
Manual Testing responsibilities:
- Understand business requirements and prepare detailed test plans, test scenarios, and test cases.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, system, smoke, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Identify, document, track, and verify bugs through closure.
- Validate UI/UX flows and ensure consistency across platforms and devices.
- Conduct exploratory testing to identify edge cases and potential product issues.
- Work closely with product managers and developers to ensure quality at every release stage.
Automation Testing responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation test frameworks.
- Develop automated test scripts for web, mobile, and API testing.
- Execute automation test suites and analyze test results.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
- Improve automation coverage and optimize execution efficiency.
- Conduct API automation testing using tools such as Postman or similar frameworks.
- Support performance and load testing initiatives using tools like JMeter or Locust.
Collaboration:
- Analyze and debug issues to identify root causes.
- Participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, and release discussions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve testing strategies and release quality.
- Suggest improvements to QA processes, tooling, and engineering best practices.
Key Requirements:
- 4–5 years of experience in Manual and Automation Testing.
- Strong experience in writing and executing automated test scripts using Java or Python.
- Hands-on experience with automation testing frameworks and tools.
- Experience in API testing using Postman.
- Strong understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Knowledge of SQL queries and database validation.
- Experience using JIRA and test management tools such as Xray.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
- Basic understanding of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins.
- Experience with performance/load testing tools like JMeter or Locust.
- Prior experience in an early-stage startup environment is mandatory.
- Experience in fintech or capital markets is a plus.
- Degree in Computer Engineering or a related field.
