Job Summary
The Quality Assurance Executive is responsible for ensuring that all JCB spare parts meet the required quality standards, specifications, and customer expectations. The role involves inspection, testing, quality audits, supplier quality management, and continuous improvement activities to maintain product reliability and compliance with industry standards.
Key ResponsibilitiesQuality Inspection & Testing
- Conduct incoming, in-process, and final inspections of JCB spare parts.
- Verify dimensions, material specifications, and functional requirements as per approved drawings and standards.
- Ensure compliance with customer requirements and quality control plans.
- Monitor product quality throughout the manufacturing and supply chain process.
Quality Assurance Activities
- Develop and maintain inspection procedures, checklists, and quality documentation.
- Perform root cause analysis for quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Monitor key quality performance indicators (KPIs) and prepare quality reports.
- Support implementation and maintenance of ISO 9001 and other applicable quality management systems.
Supplier Quality Management
- Evaluate and monitor supplier quality performance.
- Conduct supplier audits and assist in supplier development programs.
- Handle supplier quality complaints and coordinate corrective actions.
Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain inspection records, test reports, calibration records, and quality documentation.
- Ensure traceability of spare parts and compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in internal and external quality audits.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction.
- Participate in Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, and Six Sigma initiatives.
- Work closely with production, procurement, engineering, and logistics teams to improve product quality and delivery performance.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma/Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- 2-4 years of experience in quality assurance, quality control, or manufacturing of automotive/heavy equipment spare parts.
- Experience with JCB, construction equipment, automotive, or earthmoving equipment spare parts is preferred.
Technical Skills
- Knowledge of engineering drawings, GD&T, and manufacturing processes.
- Proficiency in measuring instruments such as Vernier calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, height gauges, and CMM.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and MS Office applications.
