Job details:
We are looking for a proactive, ownership-driven Quality Assurance Engineer to join our growing QA team. This is an Individual Contributor role embedded in a cross-functional product engineering team spanning Web, Android, and iOS. You will own the quality of your product areas end-to-end—from test strategy and execution through to deployment—and be expected to integrate AI-powered tooling into your day-to-day testing activities.
Why This Role Exists
The QA team has grown to 8–10 members across Web, Android, iOS, and licensing workstreams. To maintain quality standards and effective collaboration across all product areas, we need an additional experienced engineer who can independently own product quality for a defined scope—reducing the coordination overhead and enabling faster, more reliable releases.
Key Responsibilities
Product Ownership & Quality Strategy
• Own end-to-end quality for assigned product areas across Web, Android, and iOS.
• Develop and execute comprehensive test strategies covering functional, regression, and exploratory testing.
• Identify and articulate gaps in backend, frontend, and product behaviour—not just surface-level UI defects.
• Participate actively in product reviews, sprint planning, and release sign-offs.
Test Engineering
• Build, maintain, and improve automated test suites for web and mobile platforms.
• Demonstrate strong engineering fundamentals—adaptable across manual, automation, API, and performance testing.
• Integrate AI-powered tools and techniques into daily testing workflows to improve coverage and efficiency.
• Contribute to shared test infrastructure and frameworks used across the QA team.
Collaboration & Communication
• Work closely with developers, product managers, and other QA engineers in a fast-paced agile environment.
• Proactively flag risks, blockers, and quality concerns to stakeholders without waiting to be asked.
• Operate with a high degree of autonomy; minimal hand-holding expected from day one.
What We Are Looking For
Must-Have Qualifications
• 5–8 years of hands-on QA experience in a product engineering environment.
• Proven ability to test across multiple domains: backend APIs, web front-end, and mobile (Android / iOS).
• Solid understanding of testing methodologies, test design techniques, and quality strategy.
• Experience writing and maintaining automation scripts (e.g., Selenium, Appium, Playwright, Espresso, or equivalent).
• Comfortable reading code and collaborating with developers at a technical level.
• Strong analytical thinking—able to map product behaviour to business impact.
