Required Skills
1) Testing & Test Management
• Strong manual testing skills for data-driven applications: Requirements analysis, test case/scenario design, regression testing, smoke testing.
• Experience validating data accuracy, integrity, consistency, and cross-system reconciliation for reporting platforms.
• Automation testing: Execute, debug, and maintain automated tests; interpret results; basic scripting familiarity.
• qTest expertise: Test case management, test cycles/runs, requirements traceability, reporting/dashboards and admin tasks
2) CI/CD & Deployment & Pipeline Support
• Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps Pipelines and/or GitHub Actions (triggering builds, monitoring jobs, reading logs, validating artifacts).
• Trigger deployments to QA/UAT environments and monitor pipeline jobs.
• Read pipeline logs, re-run failed jobs, and escalate build/deploy issues as needed.
• Update test-execution configuration (e.g., YAML for test stages, environment variables, config files).
3) Environment & Test Data
• Understanding of Azure cloud-hosted applications, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
• Ability to validate: o Data completeness o Data transformations o Report calculations o Data flow correctness across systems
• Coordinate and validate QA/UAT environment readiness.
• Perform post-deployment smoke checks.
• Manage test data setup/refresh
4 Version Control & Repository Use (Git/GitHub)
• Able to use GitHub for: o Navigating branches, PRs, pipelines
o Reading logs and automation results o Managing test data/config files in repos
5) QA Process & Agile Process
• Jira for: o Sprint story validation o Defect lifecycle o Requirement-to-test traceability
• Confluence for documentation (test plans, SOPs, deployment validation steps).
6) Reporting, Documentation & Communication
• Profond skills using Excel for data validation, comparison, and defect evidence.
• Ability to work with Power BI to verify report accuracy and cross-check against backend data.
• Clear communication with Dev, DevOps, Data Engineering, and Platform teams.
• Evidence capture for audits (screenshots, SQL results, pipeline logs, traceability).
