ABOUT MKX
MKX is a Dubai-based, VARA-licensed virtual asset broker-dealer (VL/2025/04/001) that lets people in the UAE buy, sell and convert crypto directly against AED — inside a regulated, compliant environment. ABOUT THE ROLE
We’re looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer with 2–3 years of experience to join our technology team and work on crypto, blockchain and financial transaction systems.
The ideal candidate has experience testing transaction-based applications, APIs, wallet infrastructure and financial workflows. Exposure to Crypto, Blockchain, FinTech, Digital Assets or Payment Systems is highly preferred.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
● Design and execute test scenarios for crypto transaction and wallet workflows, covering the complete transaction lifecycle.
● Validate transaction status, TxHash, wallet addresses, network, amount, fees, balances and confirmations.
● Test transactions across multiple blockchain networks, including EVM-based chains and Solana, and validate chain-specific behaviour.
● Work with wallet / custody integrations such as BitGo; experience with similar platforms is an advantage.
● Perform API testing using tools such as Postman or similar.
● Validate REST APIs, request/response parameters, authentication, status codes and error handling.
● Validate idempotency, duplicate transaction prevention, retry and recovery mechanisms.
● Verify on-chain transactions through relevant block explorers and reconcile them with application / API responses.
● Validate multi-chain processing to ensure assets are routed through the correct network.
● Work closely with Engineering and Product teams during development, testing and release cycles.
TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIRED
● Hands-on exposure to EVM-based chains and Solana.
● Knowledge of automation testing tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright or similar.
● Understanding of the blockchain transaction lifecycle, confirmations, transaction finality and network / gas fees.
● Basic scripting / programming knowledge in Python, Ruby on Rails, JavaScript or similar.
● Experience with CI/CD and release pipelines.
● Understanding of EVM vs. non-EVM transaction behaviour.
● Experience testing wallet, custody and transaction infrastructure.
● Strong understanding of API testing, REST APIs, JSON and Postman.
● Basic SQL / data validation skills will be an advantage.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION
● Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Engineering, or a related technical field.
● B.Tech / B.E. / BCA / MCA or equivalent qualification preferred.
● Certifications in QA / Software Testing, Blockchain, Web3 or FinTech will be an added advantage.
