Job details:
We are a healthcare startup building a connected health monitoring product. As our QA Engineer, you will own testing across the app, firmware, and algorithm layers - making sure each component works correctly on its own, and that the full system holds together end to end.
What you will do
- Test the mobile app across platforms - functional, regression, edge case, and UX validation
- Validate firmware behaviour - sensor data capture, BLE transmission, device states, and error handling
- Test algorithm outputs against expected health metric results for correctness and consistency
- Design and execute integration test cases that cover the full data flow - from sensor capture on the device, through firmware, to algorithm processing, to the app display
- Identify, document, and track bugs across all three layers with enough detail for the relevant team to reproduce and fix
- Build and maintain test cases, test plans, and testing infrastructure as the product evolves
- Work closely with the app, firmware, and algorithm teams to understand expected behaviour and flag deviations early
What we are looking for
- 1-4 years of QA experience, ideally in a hardware-software or health tech product
- Experience testing mobile apps (Android and/or iOS) - manual testing at minimum, automation a plus
- Comfort working with hardware devices - you should be able to set up test rigs, capture logs, and interpret device behaviour without much hand-holding
- Ability to validate algorithm or data pipeline outputs - comparing expected vs actual values, spotting patterns in bad data
- Strong documentation habits - clear bug reports, reproducible steps, well-organised test cases
- Structured thinking: you should naturally think in terms of edge cases, failure modes, and boundary conditions
Good to have
- Exposure to BLE-based devices or wearables
- Familiarity with firmware debugging tools or serial log analysis
- Experience with any test automation framework (Appium, Pytest, or similar)
- Understanding of physiological signals or health metrics
What this role is not
This is not a pure software QA role. You will be handling a physical device and working across unfamiliar domains - firmware, algorithms, mobile - often in the same week. The right person here is curious, methodical, and comfortable operating without a fully defined playbook.
Location: Delhi, hybrid
Compensation: As per industry standards
