About The Role
We are seeking an experienced Test Automation Specialist to join our team and work with one of our prestigious clients in the banking industry. This role requires a professional with a strong background in testing complex banking systems, particularly within investment banking and financial markets. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive quality assurance protocols to ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work on challenging projects in a dynamic environment, contributing to the automation frameworks, test strategies, and continuous improvement initiatives that support the client’s digital transformation goals.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 6 to 8 years of experience in testing complex systems, with a focus on business flows in the banking and financial services domain.
- Deep understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), QA processes, and defect lifecycle management.
- Proficiency in test automation tools such as Selenium with BDD frameworks using Java or Python.
- Good working knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automation testing integration.
- Experience in banking and financial markets, especially in areas like Forex trade settlements and investment banking.
- Hands-on experience with test data identification, creation, and management.
- Familiarity with test management tools such as JIRA, GitLab, and Quality Centre.
- Exposure to security and performance testing is advantageous.
- Basic understanding of Java programming for macro development is preferred.
- Experience working with globally distributed teams and in agile environments.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance protocols and procedures aligned with test strategies, standards, templates, and plans.
- Design, execute, and refine test plans, test scenarios, scripts, and procedures to ensure comprehensive coverage of business and technical requirements.
- Identify, document, and track software defects and inconsistencies, ensuring timely resolution and communication with development teams.
- Collaborate closely with Crew Leads, Test Engineering Chapter Lead, Agile coaches, and Dev Leads to embed quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Contribute actively to test automation initiatives by developing and enhancing automation frameworks, especially for API, stream, and non-functional testing in cloud and on-prem environments.
- Analyze test results, report findings, and provide actionable insights to the development team to facilitate continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, security regulations, and best practices in testing methodologies.
- Participate in continuous process improvement efforts to optimize testing efficiency and effectiveness.
- Stay updated with the latest trends, tools, and technologies in test automation, security, and performance testing to bring innovative solutions to the team.
