About The Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented QA Automation Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our complex web-based applications. You will play a critical part in designing, developing, and maintaining robust automation frameworks that support our continuous integration and delivery pipelines. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about quality assurance, automation, and AI-driven testing methodologies. As a key member of our engineering team, you will collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality products efficiently and effectively.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess over five years of experience testing complex web applications, with at least two years dedicated to automation using Playwright and TypeScript. Strong coding skills in TypeScript or JavaScript, along with proficiency in Node.js, are essential. Candidates should have experience working with test management tools such as Jira and Xray, and possess a solid understanding of SQL, API testing, and backend validation processes. A comprehensive knowledge of the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and automation design patterns is required. The candidate should demonstrate an analytical mindset, with a keen focus on quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement in automation practices. A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable, reusable automation frameworks using Playwright, ensuring high test coverage and reliability.
- Own the entire QA lifecycle, including requirement analysis, test planning, test case development, execution, reporting, and monitoring.
- Enhance QA productivity by integrating AI-assisted testing tools to accelerate test creation, debugging, and maintenance processes.
- Manage and trigger automated test suites through CI/CD pipelines, primarily utilizing GitHub Actions, to ensure seamless integration and deployment.
- Conduct peer reviews of automation scripts, adhering to best practices such as the DRY principle and Page Object Model (POM) design patterns.
- Identify, log, and track defects effectively, performing root cause analysis to facilitate prompt resolution and continuous quality improvement.
- Perform backend validation by executing database tests using SQL and validating system integrations through comprehensive API testing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, provide automation solutions, and improve testing strategies.
- Stay updated with the latest trends in automation tools, frameworks, and AI-assisted testing workflows to ensure best practices are implemented.
