Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Quality Assurance Chemist role based in Jodhpur. The Quality Assurance Chemist will perform routine and specialized laboratory testing on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished Ayurvedic and herbal products to ensure compliance with internal specifications and regulatory standards. Responsibilities include implementing and monitoring quality control procedures, documenting test results, identifying deviations, and supporting root cause investigations and corrective actions. The role involves working closely with production, procurement, and R&D teams to maintain GMP-compliant processes, update standard operating procedures, and support continuous improvement in product quality. The chemist will also assist in calibration and maintenance of laboratory instruments, preparation of quality reports, and participation in internal and external audits.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Quality Control and Quality Assurance skills, including experience with developing, implementing, and monitoring quality systems.
- Candidates should possess solid Laboratory Skills and Analytical Skills, including handling lab instruments, conducting chemical and microbiological tests, and interpreting data.
- Candidates should possess a thorough understanding of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and related regulatory requirements applicable to herbal, Ayurvedic, or pharmaceutical products.
- Candidates should possess effective documentation and reporting skills, with attention to detail and accuracy in maintaining test records, SOPs, and quality logs.
- Candidates should possess a relevant educational background, such as a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related discipline.
- Candidates should possess strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders and support audits and inspections.
- Experience in Ayurvedic, herbal, nutraceutical, or pharmaceutical manufacturing environments will be considered an added advantage.
