Job Title: Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer

Location: Ahmedabad – work from office
Job Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented QA Engineer with around 1 year of hands-on experience in testing web applications and APIs. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of B2B workflows, API testing, and database interactions, along with exposure to B2C applications. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure high-quality product delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform functional testing of applications to ensure system behavior aligns with business requirements
- Conduct B2B workflow testing, ensuring seamless data exchange and process validation between systems
- Execute API testing (REST/JSON) for B2B and B2C services using tools like Postman or similar
- Validate B2C UI interfaces and ensure a smooth and error-free user experience
- Participate in and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities
- Perform database validation, including data verification, data seeding, and mocking test data
- Understand and test database layers and API integration layers
- Identify, log, track, and verify defects using bug tracking tools
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and clarify test scenarios
- Prepare test cases, test plans, and test reports
Required Skills
- year of experience in software testing / QA
- Strong understanding of B2B workflows and API testing concepts
- Hands-on experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, Swagger)
- Knowledge of database concepts (SQL queries, joins, data validation)
- Experience in data seeding and mocking techniques
- Good understanding of integration layers and system architecture basics
- Familiarity with functional testing and UAT processes
- Basic understanding of B2C applications and UI testing
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and documentation skills
Good to Have
- Exposure to automation tools (Selenium, Cypress, etc.)
- Basic scripting knowledge (JavaScript / Python)
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field
- AMFI 5A Exam – i am going to make it mandatory for everyone in my team to take the test. If an individual has not taken the test, we will provide the training aid but they need to clear the exam. Even tech and product. (non negotiable)
