Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Automation QA Engineer to design, develop, and scale an enterprise-grade automated testing framework for a modern retail commerce platform. This role will focus on building robust automation solutions across web, mobile, and API layers.
Key Responsibilities
Automation Framework Design
• Design and implement scalable, maintainable automation frameworks.
• Build a layered test strategy covering Unit, API, Integration, and UI testing.
• Enable parallel test execution and environment configurability.
• Integrate automation suites into CI/CD pipelines.
• Develop reusable test data and test environment management strategies.
Web & Mobile Application Automation
• Automate testing for Angular/React web applications using modern automation tools.
• Automate testing for mobile applications (Ionic or Native) on iOS, Android & Windows.
• Validate responsive design and device‑specific behaviors.
API & Microservices Testing
• Build automated test suites for REST APIs.
• Perform contract testing between microservices.
• Validate error handling, retry logic, and timeout behavior.
• Simulate third‑party system integrations.
Required Skills & Qualifications
• 5+ years of experience in QA Automation.
• Strong proficiency in Java or TypeScript for building automation frameworks.
• Hands‑on experience with:
• Selenium / Playwright / Cypress
• Appium (for mobile automation)
• REST Assured / Karate / Postman (API automation)
• Strong MySQL, MSSQL knowledge.
• Experience testing distributed microservices systems.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
• Familiarity with container technologies (e.g., Docker).
