Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Quality and NPD (New Product Development) role based in Chennai. The role involves monitoring and improving product quality across manufacturing processes, including conducting inspections, overseeing quality control activities, and supporting internal and external audits. The position also includes collaborating with cross-functional teams on new product development, from concept validation and prototyping to production readiness and process optimization. The team member will document quality standards, analyze data to identify trends and root causes, and support corrective and preventive actions. Regular communication with production, engineering, and supply chain teams is expected to ensure quality requirements are met and new products are launched effectively.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills to interpret quality data, identify trends, and support problem-solving.
- Candidates should possess Quality Control and Quality Assurance skills to manage inspections, testing, and adherence to standards.
- Candidates should possess Quality Auditing skills to conduct internal and supplier audits and ensure compliance with procedures.
- Candidates should possess effective Communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and document quality requirements.
- Relevant experience in manufacturing, mining, or metals industries is beneficial.
- Knowledge of industry quality standards, such as ISO or similar frameworks, is an advantage.
- A diploma or degree in engineering, metallurgy, materials science, or a related field is preferred.
- Ability to work on-site in a production environment and manage multiple tasks with attention to detail.
