Role Description The Qualitative Researcher will work on-site in Mumbai in a full-time capacity, leading end-to-end qualitative research projects for a variety of clients and sectors. Day-to-day responsibilities include designing research frameworks, developing discussion guides, conducting in-depth interviews, focus groups, and ethnographic studies, and managing fieldwork logistics. The role involves synthesizing qualitative data, identifying patterns and themes, and translating findings into clear, actionable insights and strategic recommendations. The Qualitative Researcher will collaborate closely with internal teams and clients, prepare concise reports and presentations, and contribute to proposal development and thought leadership initiatives. The position requires a strong interest in consumer behavior, rigorous research practices, and the ability to meet project deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Market Research and Research methodologies, with experience in designing and executing qualitative studies.
- Demonstrated Analytical Skills with the ability to interpret complex data and connect qualitative findings to business implications.
- Hands-on experience with Ethnography, including participant observation and contextual inquiry in real-world settings.
- Familiarity with Quantitative Research and an ability to collaborate with quantitative teams for mixed-method projects.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including report writing and client-facing presentations.
- Ability to work on-site in Mumbai, manage multiple projects, and meet timelines with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in common research tools and productivity software; comfort with online survey platforms and multimedia data collection is an advantage.
- Master’s degree in fields such as Psychology, Sociology, Anthropology, Marketing, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 4 years prior experience in consumer insights, brand strategy, or consulting is required.
