About the role

Qualcomm is seeking an experienced Senior Manager, Procurement to lead the General & Administrative (G&A) category management, however the ideal candidate will also bring experience within broader Corporate Functions such as Real Estate & Facilities, Marketing and/or Logistics. You'll keep a pulse on industry trends and business requirements and consult with the business to identify and deploy best practices in procurement, category management, and supplier management. You'll collaborate with various business groups across G&A, including our internal global benefit and finance teams and cross-functional teams like FP&A, Legal, Risk, Contracts, and Compliance, to maximize company value, optimize the respective category's budget, and mitigate risk. Roles & Responsibilities include but are not limited to: · Develop and implement strategic multi-year initiatives for G&A categories, including HR, Professional Services, Legal, Finance and services which are aligned with Business and Indirect Procurement priorities. · Use current industry trends, data analysis, third-party supplier spend data and internal requirements to develop strategies that will proactively identify optimization opportunities to assist our Marketing Business Team to meet their goals. · As Category Lead, lead the development and execution of strategic sourcing plans and supplier spend management strategies, including handling of complex sourcing projects and contract negotiations that optimize value to the company. · Develop strong collaborative relationships with key business partners to understand their needs and become a trusted partner to strategically manage their spend and supplier relationships. · Establish supplier positioning and manage strategic relationships with key suppliers, including influencing their processes, resource decisions, performance management and policies to create mutually beneficial and sustainable partnerships. · Develop strong internal partnerships across Indirect Procurement, Finance, Operations, HR, Privacy and Legal teams and act as the collaborator to bring teams together and influence a Qualcomm-wide solution. · Maintain accurate and complete records, work with various business groups to simplify processes. Contribute to implementation, planning, and change management of process improvement initiatives across Indirect Procurement. Create the new different. · Ensure adherence to procurement policies and manage the remediation and resolution of sourcing issues and escalations. Provide regular communication and training on procurement processes and systems to stakeholders and suppliers. · Act as procurement subject matter expert in consulting with the business to identify, develop and deploy best practice procurement, category management and supplier management. · Strong knowledge/skillset pertaining to the development of accurate Statements of Work and/or other governing agreements. · Ability to develop and maintain a collaborative relationship with the Contracts Team to ensure agreements follow Qualcomm legal protocol and business objectives/timelines are satisfied.
