Role Summary
The Billing Engineer will be responsible for end-to-end billing activities, including site measurements, preparation of measurement books, verification of quantities, identification of variations, and preparation of interim and final bills. The role requires strong coordination with site teams and thorough knowledge of billing and QS practices for construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out regular site visits for measurement and billing activities.
- Take accurate site measurements as per approved drawings and specifications.
- Prepare, verify, and maintain Measurement Books (MB) based on actual site execution.
- Identify and quantify variations in measurements, specifications, and materials against approved Work Orders and BOQs.
- Handle billing for additional and out-of-scope works with proper documentation and approvals.
- Convert site measurement data into interim and final bills in prescribed QS formats.
- Coordinate closely with site engineers, planning teams, and consultants for measurement certification.
- Ensure timely submission of client bills and subcontractor bills.
- Cross-check bills with budgets and highlight deviations to management.
- Maintain proper billing records and supporting documents for audits and reconciliation.
