The Process Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, monitoring, and optimizing manufacturing and production processes to improve efficiency, quality, safety, and cost-effectiveness. This role works closely with cross-functional teams to ensure processes meet operational and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze existing processes and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Design, develop, and implement efficient production processes
  • Monitor process performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure consistent output
  • Conduct process simulations, testing, and validation
  • Optimize resource utilization, reduce waste, and improve productivity
  • Prepare process documentation, SOPs, and technical reports
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental regulations
  • Collaborate with production, quality, maintenance, and R&D teams
  • Support new product introductions and scale-up activities
  • Use data analysis and continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.)

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field
  • Proven experience as a Process Engineer or similar role (industry-dependent)
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing/process systems
  • Experience with process improvement tools and methodologies
  • Proficiency in data analysis and process modeling software
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma certification
  • Experience with automation or process control systems
  • Knowledge of industry-specific standards (ISO, GMP, etc.)
