The QIS Platform Analyst supports Actively Managed Certificates (AMCs) and equity indices by ensuring accurate data processing, daily calculations, and robust operational controls. This position works closely with Trading, Operations, and Technology teams across regions, contributing to operational excellence, automation, and continuous platform enhancement.
We're looking for a QIS platform Analyst to :
Desk Support:
- support the AMC Trading desk with daily operations, including validation of data inputs, calculation outputs, and lifecycle events such as corporate actions.
- implement, onboard, and maintain daily calculations for rules based certificates, indices, and investment guidelines in line with product documentation and methodologies.
- build and maintain automated controls to reduce operational risk and improve efficiency.
Corporate Actions:
- manage the full lifecycle of equity corporate actions including dividends, splits, mergers, spinoffs, rights issues, and other capital events.
- ingest, clean, normalize, and validate corporate actions data from multiple vendors and internal sources.
- maintain accurate event timelines (ex date, record date, payment date, effective date) and ensure correct economic interpretation.
- apply validated corporate actions to index and strategy calculation engines in accordance with documented methodologies.
- monitor automated corporate action workflows and intervene manually when exceptions arise.
- work closely with index calculation platforms and downstream systems to ensure corporate action feeds are correctly integrated and consumed
- document corporate action processing rules, assumptions, and known edge cases for platform transparency and auditability.
- collaborate with Structuring, Trading, Quants, and IT to resolve issues and enhance platform functionality.

The Quantitative Investment Strategy (QIS) Platform of UBS is an entrepreneurial, cross-asset team focusing on building best in class ecosystem for supporting and managing QIS business catering to institutional investors from across the world. The team works in close collaboration with Structuring, Sales, Trading and Quants from multiple regions and is based out of Mumbai, Shanghai and New York.
Your expertise
- degree in Finance, Mathematics, Engineering, or related field
- strong understanding of financial markets, equity indices, corporate actions
- good Python programming skills
- experience with data cleaning, validation, reconciliation, and automation
- high attention to detail and ability to work in time sensitive environments
- strong communication and cross functional collaboration skills
