About the role
As a Developer Advocate, you will be the voice of Qdrant within the global developer community. Your mission is to educate, engage, and empower developers by creating technical content, fostering open-source contributions, and advocating for best practices in vector search and machine learning applications. You will work closely with engineering, product, and marketing teams to drive adoption and build a strong community around Qdrant.
Job Responsibilities
Community Engagement: Grow and nurture Qdrant's developer community through forums, social media, Discord, and GitHub.
Technical Content Creation: Write blog posts, tutorials, and documentation to help developers integrate Qdrant into their projects.
Public Speaking & Events: Represent Qdrant at conferences, webinars, hackathons, and meetups to advocate for vector search technology.
Developer Support & Onboarding: Help new users get started with Qdrant by creating educational resources and improving documentation.
Open-Source Contributions: Collaborate with developers to improve Qdrant's open-source project by reviewing PRs, resolving issues, and gathering feedback.
Product Feedback & Advocacy: Act as a bridge between the developer community and the Qdrant engineering team to ensure our technology evolves based on real-world needs.
Skills & Experience
Experience in Developer Advocacy or Technical Evangelism, with a passion for engaging with developers.
Strong programming skills in Python or Rust, with experience in databases, search engines, or ML applications.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex topics clearly.
Hands-on experience with vector search, embeddings, or AI-powered search technologies is a big plus.
Experience contributing to open-source projects and familiarity with GitHub workflows.
Ability to travel occasionally for conferences, events, or team gatherings.
