Position - Sr. Deputy Manager Exp in Instrumentation/Piping Valve Industry 6-8 Years
Job Description – QA/QC & Quality Management (Valve Industry)
1. Quality Management Systems & Compliance
- Implement and maintain API Q1, API 6D, ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 systems.
- Integrate API/ISO requirements into Quality Manual, SOPs, Work Instructions, formats, and records.
- Plan and conduct internal audits and coordinate API, ISO, and customer audits.
- Ensure effective implementation of CAPA, risk assessment, contingency planning, and Management of Change (MOC).
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across QA/QC processes.
2. QA/QC Operations & Documentation
- Prepare and implement QAP/ITP, Quality Control Plans, and contract-specific procedures.
- Manage valve quality activities including inspection, pressure testing, special testing, and documentation review.
- Maintain material and product traceability and control of procedures/work instructions.
- Supervise calibration and monitoring of measuring instruments.
- Independently manage quality department activities and team coordination.
3. Technical & Testing Expertise
- Strong knowledge of API, ASTM, and ASME standards.
- Experience in pressure testing, special testing, and Type Acceptance Tests.
- NDT Level II (RT/PT/DP) preferred.
- Good knowledge of metallurgy, including:
- Material selection (SS316/316L, Duplex, Alloy Steels)
- Heat treatment (Annealing, Solution Annealing, Normalizing)
- Mechanical/material testing
- Interpretation of MTCs and test reports
- Experience in a Material Testing Laboratory is an advantage.
4. Supplier & Customer Interface
- Preparation of pre-qualification documentation.
- Handle customer complaints and root cause analysis.
- Conduct supplier evaluation, audits, and supplier quality monitoring.
- Manage Material Review (MR) activities.
5. Valve Industry Knowledge
- Knowledge of Ball Valves and DBB Valves.
- Understanding of valve documentation, testing requirements, and compliance standards.
Preferred Qualifications
- ISO 9001:2015 Certified Internal Auditor preferred.
- Experience in API-monogrammed valve manufacturing environment.
